A summary of the duties owed by trustees as affected by the new Uniform Prudent Investor Act and the new Uniform Principal and Income Act as adopted by the Texas Legislature effective in 2004 and further changes to the Texas Trust Code made effective in 2006. There is also a discussion of the fiduciary relationship of attorneys and their clients and duties owed by attorneys to their clients under Texas laws.
